Ceci Magazine
This Ceci magazine cover features Yoona from the popular girl group, Girls Generation/SNSD. She is wearing clothes that reflect the season the magazine is trying to portray. The cover talks about "spring style" which is why Yoona is wearing clothes that are acceptable to wear in warm weather such as dresses and cardigans. The colour scheme has only 3 colours and match with what the artist is wearing. The masthead has been edited so that it looks like it is behind the artist to show that the model is the main focus of the page. None of the coverlines cover the artist to further emphasise this point. The artist's facial expression gives off a solemn and innocent feel to match the feel of a young girl in summer. The magazine also has two consistent fonts throughout the cover which give it a more professional look.
High Cut Magazine
High Cut magazine featured to popular boy group, iKON. High Cut has a different house style compared to other magazines. It puts little to no text over the image of the artist to show their utmost importance on the cover. They list the coverlines above the image with a consistent font throughout. High Cut's house style mainly contains black and white to create a contrast between the image and text. The masthead is at the very top of the cover, with the largest font to show that the brand of the magazine is also important and so that the reader can immediately see it. It also creates a contrast between the background and text and doesn't blend in with any parts of the image as they don't overlap. Males are shown to be serious, sexy and mysterious which is the reason they all have serious facial expressions and are in very laid-back poses. They are also trying to portray a casual street style with their clothing which links to their laid-back look.
Singles Magazine
Singles Magazine here, presents BTS who are one of the most popular K-Pop boy groups. BTS are presented as formal and classy with the choice of clothing being blazers and suit pants as well as dress shoes. All of their facial expressions are mainly serious but shows more feelings of calmness and serenity. The masthead is edited to be behind the member in the middle in order to not cover the main feature of the cover; the artist. Although text does cover some of the artists, it does not cover the focal point which is their faces. The font is also thin and consistent, using only 3 colours, which means that even though it is over the artist, it doesn't cover up too much.
